Since leaving Wilkes-Barre about 15 years ago, he had been supervisor in charge of operations, United Traction Company, Albany, N.Y., before becoming operating manager of East Penn Traction Company, Pottsville.
Mr. Dinstel was born at Bear Creek on March 6, 1885, son of the late August and Diana (Searfoss) Dinstel. When he was a child, his father, a veteran of the Civil War and been wounded at Gettysburg, moved the family to Noxen.
After graduating from the Noxen High School, Mr. Dinstel secured a position as clerk with the Lehigh Valley Railroad Company at its freight office in this city. He eventually obtained a position with the street railway corporation with which he was connected about 10 years.
Mr. Dinstel was a member of Pottsville lodge, F. & A.M.; Mountain City Chapter, R.A.M.; Pottsville Commandery, Knights Templar; Rajah Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S.; Lehigh Consistory; First Presbyterian Church of Pottsville.
Mrs. Dinstel, who survives, was formerly Bertha Thomas of this city. Also at home are two sons, George and Frederick; five brothers and five sisters also survive. Charles of Allentown; Howard A. of Kingston; Edward of Ransom; Amandus of Bridgeport, Ohio; Paul of Dayton, Ohio; Mrs. Harry Crandall and Mrs. Charles Crandall, both of Westerly, R.I.; Mrs. William Colburn of Kingston; Mrs. Curtis Grube of Easton; Mrs. Beulah Derby of Noxen.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home in Pottsville on Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at Ruggles Cemetery, near Harvey's Lake.
