Beulah was the fifteenth child of seventeen children and the seventh girl. She was born in the Dienstel home, situated above the banks of Bowmans creek. Beulah was married to Clarence Derby and made a home down Bowmann's creek from her parents. They divorced after the birth of her only son and she and her son returned to the family home to help her aging parents. Beulah lived at the Dienstel homestead until after her parents deaths. Beulah was a country girl and good cook. She did remarry Guy D. Ely after the death of her parents and move away from the Dienstel home. She was close with several of her siblings and visited them as often as possible.
