Stella died on June 24, 1974, at age of 89 years, 3 mo. 30 days, in Washington County hospital following a short illness.
She was married to John W. Beam and enjoyed her home and her family. Mrs. Beam was a loyal Christian and a member of the United Methodist church at Mankato (Kansas).
Mrs. Beam was preceded in death by her husband, and infant son, a daughter Edna, (Mrs. Gerald Patnode), and a daughter Cleo, (Mrs. Dallas Glover).
Those who are left to mourn are a daughter, Edith (Mrs. Glen) Glover of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and a son Max Beam, of Scandia (Kansas); five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren who were very special to her; three sisters and one brother: Mrs. Tim (Clara) St. John, Mrs. Lester (Eva) Mullen, Mrs. Guy (Ida) Frydendall and Harry Baldwin; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 27 (1974) from Ward Funeral Home, Washington, with Rev. William Wilkoff officiating.
Dr. James Smart was soloist (with) Mrs. Norman Stewart accompanist.
Interment was in Esbon city cemetery.
Casket bearers were Don Kastl, Marvin Pacey, Duaine Sawin, E.J. Pannbacker, Jr., Robert Ruegsegger and Jerry Funke.
