"Will Baldwin Dies"
Will Baldwin, who has been making his home with his son-in-law, John Beam and wife near Mankato, dropped dead Saturday while making a delivery of dairy products to customers in Mankato. He was making deliveries on the street east of the Mankato Hotel when his car went dead in the draw near the greenhouse. He tried to start the machine by cranking it by hand, but failed, so he flagged a passing motorist and asked to be pushed up town to a garage. He got into the car to guide it but had no sooner taken his position behind the wheel when he was stricken. A doctor was called and on examination said death had been instantaneous. The deceased had long been a resident of this vicinity, had reared his family here, and always been highly respected. His wife, who died several years ago, is buried in the Esbon Cemetery.
Funeral services for Mr. Baldwin were held at two o'clock p.m. Wednesday (8 Nov 1933) and the remains laid to rest beside those of his wife in the Esbon Cemetery.
