Mae, age 83, died at her home in rural Edna. She was the daughter of Thomas Estes and Esther Viola (Harlan) McBrien. She graduated from Chetopa High School. She married Jack D. Waugh on May 18, 1935, but later divorced. She married Henry Dunn on March 31, 1959, in rural Edna; he died April 13, 1959. She married Jess Lynwood Thompson on October 19, 1962, in Miami, Oklahoma. They owned the Thompson Cafe and Sundries until 1970 and Thompson Drive-In at U.S. 166 and K-101 in Edna. Survivors include her children, Jimmy Waugh, Jerry Waugh, Patty Barnett, and Barbara Bond, her step-son, Edmond Dunn, 12 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Ben McBrien, Tommy McBrien, Ronnie McBrien, Lela Buckley, Dolly Digney, Georgia Glazebrook, Loretta Malone, Thelma Passmore, and Beverly O'Dell. She was preceded in death by her second husband, her parents, her stepson, Dale, and her siblings, George and Goldie.
