Mrs. Jane Lyon Denison Cronk, 215 Wedgewood Ter., DeWitt, wife of E. Gordon Cronk, and a member of a widely known Syracuse family, died yesterday in Syracuse Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Syracuse April 12,1908, she was the daughter of Mrs. Blanche Isabelle Goodelle Denison of Skaneateles and the late Henry D. Denison of Syracuse.
She attended Goodyear Burlingame School, and was a member of the Delta Kappa sorority. She was a member of the Harmony Circle of the Syracuse Memorial Hospital, and a former member of the Garden Club and the Country Club of Skaneateles, where the family lived before moving to DeWitt.
Mrs. Cronk was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, and was formerly active in Group 11 of which her sister, the late Katharine Denison Stickley was chairman.
Surviving Mrs. Cronk besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. F. Daniel McKenzie of Schenectady, and Miss Melinda Cronk of Skaneateles; two granddaughters, Bonnie K. and Wendy L. McKenzie of Schenectady her mother, Mrs. Denison a sister, Miss Henrietta H. Denison of Skaneateles; two brothers, Lucius S. Denison, Syracuse, and Henry D. Denison, Jr., of Skaneateles; a niece, Mrs. Frank E. Conner of Lakewood, Ohio four nephews, George H., Anthony A., Lucius S., and Charles F. Denison, all of Syracuse.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The Rev. Harold L. Hutton will officiate. Burial will be in the Cronk family lot in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Fairchild & Meech Funeral Home, 500 W. Onondaga St.
Bearers at the funeral will be Norman Boyden, Thomas Wallace, Lloyd Withers, John Withers, Anthony A. Denison and Frank E. Conner.
