Former Jones Lady Passes Away at 92 In Oklahoma City
Mrs. Mary Jane Myers, widow of the late John H. Myers, died last Thursday in Hubbard hospital in Oklahoma City. She was 92 years old. She had made her home several years with her son Robert in the City. Services were held Saturday at the Hunter funeral home. Burial was in Sunny Lane cemetery. Mrs. Myers came to Oklahoma in May of 1900, with her husband and family. They lived several years on what was known as the Dimmick farm, now owned by the Martins, just northeast of Jones. She had lived with her children since the death of her husband several years ago. She is survived by: Sons, H. N. Myers, Blanchard; Lester, Vinita; C. H., Tulsa; Claude and Robert, Oklahoma City; daughters, Mrs. I. O. Stroup, Hendricks; Bessie Agee, Holdenville; Mrs. W.C. Jackson, Wewoka; Mrs. R. E. Craig, Oklahoma City, also by 30 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
