Mr. Edgar F. Johnson, age 85, of Crockett, passed away Monday, October 17, 2011 in the Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. Mr. Johnson was born March 27, 1926 in Houston County, Texas and has lived in Wesley Chapel since 1962. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. Mr. Johnson was retired having worked as a deck hand and motorman. He was a member of The Church of God.

Survivors include wife, Lequana Johnson of Wesley Chapel; grandniece Kathy Baker and husband, Ricky of Crockett; grandchildren, Mandy Nash of Crockett, Jason Baker of Crockett, David Teeter III of Crockett, Crystal Buek and husband, Mark of Port Arthur; great-grandchildren, Megan Kristin and Cody; sister, Henrietta McFall of Wesley Chapel; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Preceded in death by parents, Bob and Ima Johnson; brothers, Frank Johnson, Robert "Dude" Johnson, Tom Henry Johnson, William Paul Johnson and Durwood Johnson and sisters, Maude Gossett and Lena Pearl Owen; nieces, Anita Johnson, Bettie Jean Gossett, Catherine Ruth Gossett, nephews John Robert Gossett, Marion Eugene Owen and David Lynn Owen.

Funeral services for Mrs. Edgar F. Johnson will be held Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Military graveside services will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
