JAMES A. BERKEY, 66, of Indiana RD 5, died Thursday, May 4, 1989, at his residence.
The son of Mervin and Viola Bash Berkey, he was born Feb. 20, 1923, in Emeigh.
Mr. Berkey was a member of the L.O.O.M. 174, Legion of Moose 84, and IBRW Local 947. A veteran of World War II, he had served in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Berkey had been employed as a power engineer for McCreary Tire and Rubber Co., Indiana, for19 years before retiring in 1985. He had resided at his present address for the past 32 years.
Surviving are (Living relatives removed for privacy).
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ronald E.; one daughter, Sandy; and one brother, Clifford.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where the LOOM will conduct services at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. James A. McCaulley officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
