Born to John and Fanny Harper in Salt Lake City on April 19, 1933. Larry Harper passed away in McKinney, Texas after an extended illness on January 23, 2007.

Larry is survived by son Robert, his wife Sue and their two children, and son Peter, his wife Leslie and their three children. Larry graduated from the University of Utah and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. In his personal time, Larry was an adventurous soul, who dabbled in many things including sailing, skiing, golfing, camping, fishing, and painting. After retiring from Civil Service at Hill Air Force Base, Larry lived aboard his cruising sailboat in the Caribbean until it was destroyed by Hurricane Hugo. He spent the rest of his life watching his grandchildren grow and become young adults. He will be missed by all who knew him. It is in his footsteps that we were able to grow and make our own path through life. In his words, "I had a good life." Services to be held Sat., February 3, 2007 at the Larkin Mortuary at 10600 S. 1950 E., Salt Lake City, UT from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. We love you and will miss you.
