My mother, Marice Harper (Hughes) Wilcox passed away today in Omaha, Nebraska. She was born in Wattis, Utah on 16 May 1920. Wattis is a beautiful coal mining town west of Price. Her parents were (are) John Milton Harper and Fanny Harriet Fowler. She had a colorful, beautiful life with as much sweet as bitter. If there is anything of resilience in me and my children, I would say that we got it from Mom. She will be remembered for rising to the occasion, wearing her lipstick and a smile. Rest in peace. We love you. Thank you to brother Tim and sister (in-law) Louise for caring for Mom in these last many years. You are the angels.
