Mrs. Bartow (Bertie) Abernathy, 75, of Route 3, Woodstock, died Sunday, December 31.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m., from the Macedonia primitive Baptist Church, with Elder W. D. Howell and the Rev. Lawrence Lockett officiating. Interment was in the old Macedonia Cemetery.
Survivors include their daughters, Mrs. John N. Bennett, and Mrs. Lee Deal, both of Woodstock; Mrs. Ernest Buchner, Marietta; a son, the Rev. Hansel Abernathy, Cartersville; three sisters, Mrs. Homer Lee, Cartersville; Mrs. Maggie Sumner, Jasper; Mrs. Elizabeth Young, Dalton; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Collins Funeral Home of Acworth was in charge of arrangements.
