Idella Abernathy Deal, 74, of Victory Drive, Woodstock, died Saturday, Friday 12, 1994.
She was born March 1, 1919, in Bartow County, a daughter of Elder Bartow Abernathy and Bertie Cox Abernathy, retired from Marietta Hosiery after 33 years and a member of Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Lee Edward Deal of Woodstock, two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Robinson of Acworth, Mary and Bill Prather of Cartersville; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Brenda Abernathy and Harvey and Kathy Abernathy, all of Woodstock; stepchildren, Edna and Clyde Farist of Acworth, Hazel Joyner of Decatur, Ruth and Phil Clements of Acworth, Hoyt and Maxine Deal of Woodstock, Bobby and Stella Deal of Maryland; 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a sister, Bonnie Bennett of Woodstock.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 14 at 1 p.m. from Owen Funeral Home and Chapel with the Rev. Dan Nail officiating. Burial was in Old Macedonia Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tim Prather, Phil Clements, Ronnie Farist, Hoyt Deal, John Bennett and Steve Deal.
