Born in Springfield, N.Y., the son of the late Barton and Sarah Jane Shore, he had lived here 32 years.
he was retired after 20 years of work at the Post Engineer's office at Fort Monmouth. Mr. Shore was a member of the Asbury Park Methodist Church and the Washington Lodge, F&AM, of Eatontown. He served in the army in World War I and in the Seabees in World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Shore, one daughter, Mrs. Norman W. Morton of Oceanport; one son, Ellis H. Shore of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today from the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell St. Burial will be in Glenwood cemetery, West Long Branch.
