Catherine Bair was the daughter of Jacob & Sarah Bair. She married Joseph Wesley Boyd on May 1, 1838 in Montgomery Ferry, Pennsylvania. Catherine & Joseph were the parents of 10 children: Isaac Peter, Jesse Thomas, Jacob Washington, Susannah, Joseph Wesley Jr., Sarah Ann, Samuel, Oliver Perry, Hibbert Moses & David. Catherine & Joseph came to Ohio ca. 1853 and settled near the town of Brock. She and her husband were among the leading members of the Methodist church erected near Brock in 1857.
