Funeral services were held this morning at First Baptist Church. The Rev. T.M. Hamby officiated. Burial was in Pine Hill Memorial Gardens. Usrey Brown-Service Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beulah Carpenter; a daughter, Mrs. Jackie Freeman of Talladega; three sons, Don of New Orleans, La., Wayne of Tennessee and Jimmy of Talladega; five sisters, Mrs. Leslie Hampton, Mrs. Nobie Hallmark, Mrs. Eula Bradley, Mrs. Lacie Haynes and Mrs. Sallie Haynes; four brothers, Roy, Jacky, Barney, and Cecil.
