Mrs. Anton Delperdang, one of the well-known residents of Plymouth County, residing 6 miles north of Remsen, died [July 25, 1917] morning after a long illness with hernia and other complications.

She was 54 years of age and, besides her husband, leaves 2 sons, 3 daughters, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and her mother.

Mrs. Anton Delperdang was born on a farm in Winneshiek County, Iowa, near the town of Festina. She lived with her parents until she reached womanhood and married Anton Delperdang at Festina. Mr. Delperdang was at that time farming north of Remsen, where the couple settled immediately after their marriage, and where they have continued to reside. During her whole life Mrs. Delperdang was a true Christian woman and a loyal friend, and her death is mourned by a large circle of friends.

Besides her husband, the deceased is survived by five children as follows: Clara, Mrs. Jos. Majeres of Remsen; George Delperdang of Remsen; and Vincent, Blanche, and Martha at home. The oldest child of the family, Hugo, died several years ago near Remsen in an automobile accident. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Sudtelgte, of Fort Atkinson, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Annie Leibold, of Fort Atkinson, Iowa; and four brothers, August and Theodore Sudtelgte of Remsen, Henry Sudtelgte of Banning, CA, and Fred Sudtelgte of Clear Lake, MN.

The funeral will be held Friday [July 27] morning at nine o'clock, with services in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Alton.
