Funeral services were conducted Friday in the Pendleton Springs Baptist Church of which she was a member with Dr. Fred Smith of Lyons and the Rev. S.D. Walker of Vidalia officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Trapnell in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wilkes was the daughter of the late F.B. Williamson and the late Mrs. Rosanna Mosley Williamson, both of Emanuel County. She was the wife of Lee Wilkes of Lyons.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters: Mrs. Luckie Lee Mixon and Miss Barbara Wilkes of Lyons; two brothers, Lester and Arthur Williamson of Oak Park; six sisters, Mrs. Ella Davis of Vidalia, Mrs. Dora Dryden, Mrs. Vallie Gross, Mrs. Frankie Ridgdill all of Oak Park, Mrs. Rosa Ambrose and Mrs. Pearl Findley of Lyons; and several nieces and nephews.
