LYONS — Rosa Williamson Ambrose, 74, died Saturday in a Vidalia hospital after an extended illness. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Pendleton Springs Baptist Church near Oak Park. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Revs. Dewey Atkins and H.G. Ridgdill will officiate.

Mrs. Ambrose, a native of Emanuel County, had lived in Lyons for the past 15 years. She was a member of Pendleton Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ambrose Myer of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sons, Orin A. Ambrose, Jr. of East Prairie, Mo., and Charles F. Ambrose of Vidalia; two sisters, Dora Dryden and Frankie Ridgdill, both of Oak Park; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Home of Vidalia has charge of arrangements.
