Walter Scott Paris was born in Macon, Missouri to Green Lear Paris and Mary Boone Clutter, the fourth of ten children. He was co-owner of the Paris Cement Construction Co in Tulsa. Mr. Paris had lived in Winfield, Kansas and Bentonville, Arkansas, moving to Tulsa in 1918. He operated the Electrified Water Co., which sold bottled water here before the gravity flow pipeline was built from Tulsa to Spavinaw creek in the 1920s.

Mr. Paris had been a cowboy at the old 101 Ranch near Ponca City and a barker for the old 101 Ranch Wild West Show before he met and married in September 50 years ago the former Maud Johnson , who survives in Winfield, Ks. Surviving son, Ralph B. Paris, is co-owner and president of the construction firm. Walter Paris had been in the construction business about 40 years.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Margaret W. Mitchell of the home, and Mrs. Harold W. Looney; four brothers, Baylis William, Joe Henry Paris of Tulsa, and John Paris, Arkansas City, Ks.; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Michael, Denver, Co. and Mrs. Bertha Heflin, Winfield, Ks., five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Arrangements are pending under direction of the Moore funeral home.
