Joseph Lafayette Henry was born to Samuel N. Henry and Mary Boone Clutter who married on 31 January 1877 in Clarence, Shelby County, Missouri. On March 2, 1880, Mary remarried Green Lear Paris in Jefferson Township, Shelby County, Missouri. Joseph had nine (9) half siblings as a result of their union.
In 1907, Joseph was married to Evalyn Mae Davidson-Jones in Arkansas City, Kansas. In 1910, Joseph, Evalyn and daughter Daisy born in 1909 [sic; actually 1908] lived in Arkansas City, Kansas with Green Lear and Mary Paris.
By 1920, the family had moved to Drumright, Creek County, Oklahoma where the census lists Joseph age 41 (carpenter), Evalyn age 29, Daisy age 12 and 5 year old son Albert.
In 1930, the Henry family were living in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Daughter Daisy, husband Taylor Otis and infant son Norman all resided in the same home.
In 1950, Joseph age 72 and Evalyn age 59 were living in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Joseph passed in 1969, followed by Evalyn in 1970. The couple are buried at Rose Hill memorial Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
