Sara McEntire's father came with his family to Young County, Texas by 1862 in the great migration of the Fore, Baker, McEntire, Birdwell, Ribble families. Family diaries suggest their time in the county was short-lived due to the unsettling times and Indian raids. The families retreated to the Baker Community in Parker County, Texas after only a short time in the county.

Samuel McEntire married Arizona Baker on 17 January 1878 at Parker county, Texas in the Baker Community.

Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church in Graham officiated by Rev. Dallas Lee and Rev. A.J. Morgan of Breckenridge, assisting.

Survived by a daughter - Mrs. Will Parkinson of Graham; three sons - Jeff of Breckenridge, Clifton of Lubbock, Estes of Graham; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews - one being George Fore of Graham.
