Miss Hattie Ball married John Estes McEntire on 7 December 1904 at Crystal Falls, Stephens County, Texas. The couple moved to Graham in 18 November 1918 from Stephens County, Texas.


Services were held at the First Baptist church in Graham officiated by Rev. Hubert Foust. Mr. McEntire, 79, was a stock farmer and member of the Baptist Church. He had been ill for three weeks.


Survived by his wife; daughters - Mrs. A.E. Jones of Lubbock and Mrs. Foy Odom of Graham; brother - Jeff C. McEntire of Lubbock; two granddaughters - Frances Elaine Jones of Lubbock and Marilyn Wright, a student at Texas Tech in Lubbock; one grandson - Darrell Odom of Graham.
