Mr. McEntire moved to the Crystal Falls community in 1897, moving to Graham in 1928 when his health and his eyesight started to fail.
Services were held at Crystal Falls with Rev. Dale Thorn, pastor of First Baptist in Graham officiating assisted by the Mayor of Breckenridge, A.J. Morgan.
Samuel McEntire married Arizona Baker on 17 January 1878 at Parker county, Texas in the Baker Community.
Survived by his wife; three sons - J.E. and J.C. McEntire of Graham, Jeff McEntire of Crystal Falls; one daughter - Mrs. W.T. Parkinson of Graham.
Pallbearers were: C.B. Newby, Floyd McCarmon, Mitt Ball, W.H. Mathis, George Kelley, Joe Beaty.
