Ronnie Lee Fain, 59, of Athens, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Standifer Health Care of Chattanooga.

He was a native and resident of McMinn County for most of his life, and was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Lee Fain, on May 27, 2011; and one sister, Sandra Margaret Disspain. He was a former employee of the Nissan Corporation and was a member of East Athens Baptist Church, Meridian Sun Lodge 50 F&AM and Alhambra Shrine.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Browdy and Lacie Fain of Cookeville, and Tregg Kirkland of Maryville; one grandson, Brayden Fain; his mother, Ollie Dannel Fain of Athens; his former wife, Sandee Fain of Lebanon; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Belinda and Terry Cavett of Cleveland, and Pam and Ray Parker of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Thomas officiating. A Masonic service will follow. Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fain Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Ray Parker, Bobby Harmon, Tom Brown, Nathan Jackson, Jeff Price, Steve White and Danny Wilson.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
