Ollie Dannel Fain, age 87 of Athens passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Morning Pointe of Athens. A native of Roane County and a resident of Athens since 1952. she was the daughter of the late W.A. "Bill" and Bonnie Gunter Dannel. She was a member of Idlewild Baptist Church and retired from Athens Products. She loved to hike and travel was a former member of the Eastern Star and Civitan Club. She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Lee Fain; son, Ronnie Fain; daughter and son-in-law; Sandra Disspain, and Larry Disspain; daughter, Belinda Cavett; grandsons, Todd and Travis Disspain; brother, Clay Dannel and Gillis Dannel; Infant twin sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, ten grandchildren, a sister, sixteen great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Wednesday, June 29, 2022 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Van Elkins officiating. The interment will be at Fain family Cemetery following the service.
