Wallace Reed Christiansen – Aye!!!
Wally (Chris) left us on a beautiful spring day while working in his yard. Hard work was what Wally seemed to know best. The harder the work the more he enjoyed it.
Wally was born the eldest son to Henry Oscar and Eloise Ethyl Christiansen in Draper, Utah the 25th day of November 1928.
Wally had a booming voice with infectious laughter, so everyone always knew when he was around. He proudly served four years in the U. S. Navy from 1946-50. He retired from KCC Smelter in 1985 after 35 years of service, where he was known for his pure physical strength and stamina on the job. No job was too tough for Wally.
Wally is survived by his wife, Jane; children, Larry Christiansen, Randy Christiansen, Connie Parker, Gayle Rogers, Vickie Eaby, Mark Christiansen and Cheri Robert; brothers, Roy, Dell, Bill and Tex Christiansen; sisters, Edna Jackman, Virginia Garrett, Shirley, and Mary Dawson; 23 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Louise McGee.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Valley View Funeral Home Chapel, 4335 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a viewing on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
