Deborah (Adamson) Berry and her four unmarried children came to Kansas from Missouri and settled in Lincoln Twp, Pottawatomie Co in 1894. She was born 29 May 1835, Ohio, died 3 Oct 1918 Jackson Co [Kansas}. She was a daughter of Barnet and Isabella (Johnstone) Adamson. On 2 Mar 1854 in Monroe Co, Ohio, she married John Alpheus Berry, son of John H and Mary (Huffman) Berry. He was born in West Virginia 19 May 1829, died 23 Dec 1893, both buried at Three Corners Cemetery, Powersville, Missouri.

John and Deborah Berry moved from Ohio to Iowa in 1882 and the next year to Putnam Co, Missouri. After Mr Berry's death in 1893, Deborah and four of their children moved to a farm south of Havensville. There the family lived until Deborah died at the home of a daughter, Mrs Viola Salisbury in Jackson Co.

Length of residence in state 25 years; at place of death 25 years. Born May 27, Monroe Co, Ohio, father Barnet Adamson, b Pennsylvania; mother Isabell Johnston, b Pennsylvania. Informant: Everett Berry, Osage Kansas. Removal to Powersville, Missouri. Undertaker, W A Irwin, Havensville, Kansas.
