MARION - Winfred J. Baxley, 68, died about 4:30 p.m. Monday in a Marion hospital after a short illness.
Surviving are the widow, the former Ethel Richardson; five daughters, Mrs. Raleigh Reason and Mrs. Vernon Coward, both of Gresham, Mrs. Carl Taylor of Johnsonville, Mrs. Herbert Turbeville of Marion and Mrs. Judy Dennis of Hemingway; three sons, J. W. Baxley of Wilmington, NC, James Laverne Baxley of Myrtle Beach and Hoyt Baxley of Charleston; a sister, Mrs. Rembert Parnell of Rockingham, NC; and 23 grandchildren.
