BRITTONS NECK - Mrs. Hazel Coward, 47, died Thursday at a nursing home in Florence. Born in Marion County, she was a daughter of Mrs. Ethel Baxley and the late Winifred Baxley of Brittons Neck.
Surviving besides her mother are her husband, Vernon Coward; two daughters, Mrs. Luther Miller of Johnsonville and Mrs. George Davis of Richmond, Va.; three brothers, Staff Sergeant James L. Baxley of Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, Staff Sergeant Hoyt S. Baxley of Vietnam and J. W. Baxley of Wilmington, NC; four sisters, Mrs. Herbert Turbeville of Marion, Mrs. Carl Taylor of Johnsonville, Mrs. Raleigh Reason and Mrs. Judy Dennis, both of Brittons Neck.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Nebo Church.
