Daughter of Jesse Bradley and Martha Baxley Richardson, wife of Winfred Judson Baxley.


GRESHAM - Mrs. Ethel Richardson Baxley, widow of Winfred J. Baxley, 75, died Wednesday at a local hospital.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Nebo Baptist Church and burial will be in Souls Chapel Cemetery, directed by Smith Brothers Funeral Home.

Mrs. Baxley was born in Marion County, a daughter of the late Brad and Martha Richardson.

Surviving are, four daughters, Mrs. Judy Dennis and Mrs. Raleigh Reason of Brittons Neck, Mrs. Carl Taylor of Johnsonville and Mrs. Hubert Turbeville of Turbeville; three sons, J. W. Baxley of Wilmington, N.C., James L. Baxley of Peru, Ind., and Hoyt S. Baxley of Shreveport, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Ben Altman of Brittons Neck and Mrs. Thad Shore of Myrtle Beach; one brother, Morgan Richardson of Mullins; 24 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
