She was born on March 8, 1925 in New Haven, W.Va., daughter of the late Melvin and Helen Knapp.
Jo Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She is survived by her sons, Dale (Diane) Taylor and Ron (Barb) Taylor; grandsons, Abe Bartlett, Troy (Dianna) Taylor, Tim (Barbara) Taylor and Trent (Robyn) Taylor; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsey and Alex Bartlett, Samantha and Justin Taylor, Grace Taylor and Madison Taylor; sisters, Mary Fry, Patty Paugh, Peggy (Bob) Harless, and Sharon (Kenneth) Vickers; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter R. Taylor, brothers Douglas Knapp, Brady Knapp, Richard Knapp, Harry Knapp and Herman Knapp, sister Marjorie Gibbs and a nephew Rodney Vickers.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 1 p.m. at ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME in New Haven, W.Va. with Pastor Sherrie Hofmann and Kenneth Vickers officiating.
Burial will follow at Graham Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. A registry is available online at www.andersonfh.com.
