Bill Evans Rites Set Tonight
William Francis Evans, 71, of Estherville, died Nov. 17, 1972, at Holy Family Hospital.

Funeral services will be at the Fuhrman Funeral Home tonight at 8 o'clock and burial will be at East Side Cemetery, with Msgr. James H. Duhigg officiating.

Mr. Evans, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Evans, was born Aug. 1, 1901, in Estherville and received his education in the schools in Estherville.

On July 2, 1931, he married Ethel Anderson in Fairmont and the couple made their home in Estherville where he was employed as a carpenter. Mrs. Evans died April 6, 1971.

Mr. Evans was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Estherville.

He is survived by one brother, Joe Evans, of Fairmont; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Lynch of Estherville, Mrs. LeRoy Bartleman of St. James, Minn., Mrs. Jonathan Tucker of Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Elizabeth O'Brien of Emmetsburg and Mrs. Lucile Reinhardt; and nieces and nephews.

He had been preceded in death by his wife, his parents and four brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 20, 1972)
