Maria Sophie was the daughter of Claus Friedrich and Anna Christina (Hinrichsen) Friederichsen. She was born in Gammelby, Schleswig-Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
Based on baptism records, it appears that Maria Sophie had an out-of-wedlock daughter, the father being Friederich Petersen, an innkeeper in a nearby village, Friedericke, b. Nov 1862.
Maria then married Conrad Peter Heinrich Nielsen 28 Apr 1964 in Süderbrarup, Schleswig-Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany and farmed near the village of Hollmühle, Schleswig-Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. They had seven children, all born in Hollmühle:

Conrad died 1922 and is buried in Friedhof Böklund. Maria might buried in the cemetery in nearby Struxdorf, the parish nearby to Hollmühle where they lived at the time.
