Joe Parker Nabers is the son of William Parker Nabers (1872-1906) and Luther Cordelia Strain (1878-1971). He married Mary Elizabeth Barfield (1909-2001) on 24 Mar 1926 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. Together they have two children:
1. Fay Shirley Nabers (1929-2006) m. Harry J. Kidd, Sr (1929-1966)
2. Ned Parker Nabers (1938-1984)

NABERS
Mr. Joe Parker Nabers of Cambridge Dr., Dunwoody, died July 19, 1981. Survived by wife, Mrs. Mary Barfield Nabers, daughter, Mrs. Shirley Nabers Weis, Coraopolis, Pa., son, Mr. Ned Nabers, Nashville, Tenn., sister, Mrs. Nell Paxton, Calhoun, Ga., brother, Mr. Maurice L. Nabers, Macon, Ga., two granddaughters, two grandsons. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 21 at 10 a.m. at the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jack Hudson, Rev. Danny Spears officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 until 9 pl.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy.
