Mrs. Grace M. Sommers, 65, wife of Albert H. Sommers, 124 Vine St., died Friday afternoon in her home following an extended illness.
Born in Elgin Dec. 4, 1891, she had resided here during her entire lifetime.
Besides her widower, she is survived by two sons, Erwin A. and James F. Sommers of Elgin; five daughters, Mrs. George (Helen) Powers of Woodstock, Mrs. Kenneth (Mildred) Powers of Crystal Lake, Mr. Glenn (Carolyne) Seyller of Plato Center, Mrs. Walter (Doris) Phillips of Berlin, Wis., and Mrs. Charles (Mary) Singleton of Elgin; and 23 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
The Rev. Walter J. Herborn of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will conduct funeral sevices Monday afternoon at 1:30 from the Wait, Ross, Allanson funeral chapel. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery.
