He married Mary Lee Dunham on July 15, 1838 in the First Presbyterian Church of Kensington, Philadelphia. They moved to Washington, DC between 1843 and 1846. They had eight children; Elizabeth, Jacob, Rebecca, Helen, Lydia, Joseph, Margaret and Conrad. They lived next door to Conrad's brother George W. Faunce who was also a fisherman.
On April 27, 1889, the popular Captain Conrad Faunce died at his residence, 623 F Street. He was buried at Congressional Cemetery in Washington, DC on May 1, 1889.
