Conrad was born on February 3, 1784, to Johan Christian Faunce and Christina Steiger Faunce. Sponsored by his maternal grandparents, Conrad & Cathrina Steiger, he was christened on April 6, 1784. He married Elizabeth Baldt on February 9, 1804 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Elizabeth was born in Germany about 1785. He worked as a fisherman. Conrad and Christina had 14 children; Christian, George W, Johan Joseph, Daniel, Isaac S, Michael, Conrad, Elizabeth, Maria, Susan, Conrad, Jacob D, Sarah, and Joseph.

Elizabeth died of dysentery on January 24, 1853. On September 29, 1862. Conrad died from dysentery on September 29, 1862 and was buried in Palmer Ground on October 3, 1862.
