Little darling, you left us,
You have gone to heaven above
There to await our coming
Where all is peace and love.
Just four days we had you to
Hold gently to our breast,
The angels came and took you
To the heavenly land of rest.
When the evening sun is sinking
And shadows 'round us creep
How we miss you, little darling,
But we know that you're just asleep."
