On April 26, 1930, Emery, single, age 24, was a lodger in Clarence and Olive Wallace's household. They were renting a home in Holibird in Klamath Falls, Klamath, Oregon. Clarence was a carpenter as was Emery.

The following year Emery married their daughter, Edith, in Malhuer, Oregon on October 14, 1931.

"Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Bell have received a message informing them that their granddaughter, Clarene Bell, age 10 years, is in a serious condition caused by a ruptured appendix. She has been in the hospital about two weeks. Clarene is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Bell of Hermiston, ore."

Those in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Homer McBroom and Paula Kay, Mrs. Anna Dotson, Mrs. Virginia Harvey, Mike and Randy, Mr. and Mrs. David Tackett, Carla, Karen, Calvin, John and Anita, and David and Brian Laney, all of Fayetteville; Mr. and Mrs. John Goucher, Mr. and Mrs. Jess McBroom, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Whortan and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Burgess all of Huntsville; Mrs. Shirley Curry and Mrs. Betty Feagin of Springdale.

Ivor and Emery Bell are brothers of Mrs. Jess McBroom and Mrs. John Goucher."

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Sharp was the scene of a pot luck dinner last Sunday. ..."

Emery W. Bell, 81, of Arizona died Nov. 21, 1986 at Desert Samaritan Hospital in Mesa, Ariz. He was born Nov. 13, 1905, at Clifty, Ark., the son of James J. and Hattie Morgan Bell.

He owned Alpine Manufacturing Cooperation of Portland, Ore., until retiring in 1970. He then moved to Arizona. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Edith Bell; two daughters, Dorothy J. White of Gresham, Ore., and Clarence E. Bond of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Niada Brown of Greenfield, Calif., and Letha McBroom of Huntsville; one brother, Ivor L. Bell of Taft, Calif.; two granddaughters; and three great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Grace Goucher, Gladys Lawson and Virgie Harrington, and one brother, Jay Bell.

Graveside services were Monday, Nov. 24, at Mountainview Gardens in Mesa, Arizona."
