Harold Braatz
Harold Braatz, 50, 1868 W. Fourth Street, died at 4:30 a.m. today at Winona General Hospital from effects of a heart attack suffered Thursday afternoon.
A lifelong resident of this area, he was born May 29, 1908 at Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Braatz. He was employed at Froedtert Malting Co.
He married Margaret Pomeroy November 6, 1933 at St. Stanislaus Church, and was a member of the American Legion and Holy Name Society of St. John's Catholic Church.
Mr. Braatz is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. David (Mary) Postlewaite, Winona; four brothers, Clarence, Earl, Robert and Charles, all of Winona; six sisters, Mrs. Roy (Margaret) Rose, Mrs. Frank (Helen) Kunda, Mrs. Arthur (Dorothy) Klagge, and Mrs. Eugene (Betty) Czaplewski, all of Winona; Mrs. Earl (Marian) Johnson, Rushford, and Mrs. Arthur (Florence) Dionysius, Iowa, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Borzyskowski Mortuary, and at 10 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, the Rev. James Habiger officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Sunday, with Father Habiger leading Rosary at 8 p.m.
Leon J. Wetzel Post of the American Legion will conduct graveside services at the cemetery.
