Mrs. Ethel Rooks Clauson, 51, wife of William H. Clauson, of Riegelsville, N.J., died today at 2 a.m. in Warren Hospital.
She had been hospitalized since Saturday and in failing health for three years.
Born in Cherry Hill, N.J., Mrs. Clauson was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Hamerstone Rooks. She had lived in Riegelsville all her married life, and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Riegelsville, Pa.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, William R. and Norman M., both of Riegelsville, N.J.; a daughter, Mrs. Harvey Labarre, of Phillispburg R. D.; four sisters, Mrs. James Shughron, of Finesville; Mrs. James Fleck, of Revere, Pa.; Mrs. Charles Deemer, of Warren Glen, and Mrs. Alice Mills, of Phillipsburg, and nine grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. from the Rush funeral home, Bloomsbury. The Rev. Samuel J. Kirk, pastor of St. John Evangelical Reformed Church, Riegelsville, Pa., will officiate. Interment will be made in Riegelsville, Pa. cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Rooks Clauson, 51, of Riegelsville, N.J., were held this afternoon in the Rush funeral home, Bloomsbury. Mrs. Clauson, wife of William H. Clauson, died Tuesday in Warren Hospital.
The Rev. Samuel J. Kirk, pastor of St. John's Reformed Church, Reigelsville, Pa., officiated. Interment was in Riegelsville, Pa., cemetery. Pallbearers were James, Charles, Edgar and Donald Deemer, David Rooks and Harold Lippincott.
