Norman Millard Clauson, 83, of Holland Township, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2006, in the Lopatcong Care Center in Phillipsburg. Born: March 22, 1922, he was a son of the late William and Ethel Rocks Clauson. Personal: He was married to his beloved wife, the former Florence E. Walters, for 63 years. Norman was a life long resident of Holland Township. He worked at the Riegel Paper Corp. in Milford for over 40 years. He also worked as a police officer in Holland Township, and served as its dog warden. He worked at the Walter Smith Mower Shop in Riegelsville, and most recently worked at the Recycling Center in Holland Township. At one time, he coached little league in Milford. He served in the Air Force and was a veteran of World War II. Norman was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. He was an avid Phillies fan. Memberships: Norman was a life member of the VFW in Pattenburg, N.J. Survivors: In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert P., of Calif., and Thomas L., of Pen Argyl; two daughters, Susan A. Lomurno, of East Greenville, Pa., and Linda J. Decker, of Palmer Township; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A son, Richard C., died in 1971; a brother, William, and a sister, Margaret LaBar, died earlier. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township. Visitation 10 to 11 a.m Tuesday. Interment will follow in Riegelsville Cemetery.
