Funeral Services Held Sat. For Mrs. Chas. Zimmerman
Funeral services for Mrs. Charles (Jennie L.) Zimmerman, Dumont, age 84, were held Sat. Jan. 6, at the United Methodist Church in Dumont with the Rev. Wallace Kinzler officiating. Burial was made in the Dumont Cemetery and the Vogel Funeral Home was in Charge.
Mrs. Zimmerman passed away at the Franklin General Hospital at Hampton, where she had been a patient for some time.
Jennie L. Fleming Zimmerman was born Oct. 13, 1894, in Illinois to James and Elizabeth Loughery Fleming. On June 24, 1920, she was united in marriage to Charles Zimmerman at Waterloo. They farmed in the Aredale Community until 1958 when they retired and moved to Dumont. To this union two daughters were born.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters; Mrs. Darwin (Phyllis) Noelting and Mrs. Duane (Lois) Johnson both of Greene, also five grandchildren, Mrs. Donnie (Noelting) Raisch of Des Moines, Mrs. Pamela (Johnson) Rusinack of Sheffield, Blair Noelting, Mark Johnson and Kent Johnson of Greene, two great grandsons, Matthew Raisch and Nathan Rusinack, a brother, Joe Fleming of San Dimas, California, four sisters; Mrs. Mary Gould, Staples, Minn., Mrs. Francis Bender, Iowa City, Mrs. Isabel Weston and Miss Minnie Fleming of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, a sister and a grandchild.
