Abraham Boone Noblitt, Jr. was the son of Abraham and Elizabeth (Gibson) Noblitt. He was born in Illinois in 1854. He married Caroline (Carrie) M. Rule on November 15, 1875 in Madison County, Illinois by F. Kunz, Justice of the Peace. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church south of St. Jacob, Illinois until 1876.

Boone and Carrie Noblitt were the parents of six children: Lula Ida, Nora E., Lida May, Sarah (Sadie), Elam James and Albert Emory Noblitt.

An article in the Edwardsville Intelligencer dated 28 June 1893 reads as follows: "Killed by a Train. Ruben Noblett, a resident of near Kaufman, was killed near Alhambra, yesterday morning, by being struck by a freight train on the Clover Leaf road..."
