Marine, IL--Mrs. Sarah Geers died at her home here Wednesday night at 9:35 p.m. following an illness of three weeks. Death was caused by complications.
The funeral services will be conducted Saturday from the Dauderman Funeral Home here at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Marine Cemetery.
Mrs. Geers was born February 23, 1856, in Lebanon, and lived nearly all of her life in Marine and vicinity. She was the widow of the late Jess Geers, who preceded her in death June 22, 1932.
Surviving her are eight children, Elmer Geers, Alhambra, William Geers, Marine, Lee Geers, Charles Geers, Mrs. Val Miller, Mrs. J.E. Haring, Mrs. C.W. Case, and Mrs. O.D. Nemnick of Edwardsville; a sister, Mrs. Albert Mills, Panama, Ill.; one brother, Hiram Noblitt, of Virginia, Ill.; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
