Death of a Former Citizen
D.A. Hall, of Chicago, a former resident of this township, died at 11 o'clock on last Friday morning and was interred on Saturday afternoon. His sister, Mrs. Hiram Hasty, of this place, and her son-in-law, Frank Turner, attended the funeral. The deceased was a man worth considerable money, and about the first of last December, moved into his new residence, which cost him $10,000. He immediately took down sick, the physicians pronouncing his ailment cancer of the pancreas. His first wife died of the same disease. He was 55 years of age and a very estimable gentleman. He had many warm personal friends in this county who will regret to hear of his death.
