Charles Hartley dies; owned North East market
Charles Hartley, 96, 110 South Lake, North East, died Sunday at Lake County Memorial Hospital, Painesville, Ohio.
He was born in Milton, Ontario, Canada, April 7, 1887, son of the late Joseph and Lucinda Walling Hartley. He owned and operated Hartley's Market in North East for several years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Eades Hartley, on Oct. 21, 1972; two sons, Harry and George Hartley; and a daughter, Eva Lewis.
Survivors include 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Bowers Funeral Home, 92 South Lake, North East, Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., and are invited to attend services there Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Loyd Baird officiating.
Burial will be at Grahamville Cemetery. (last sentence illegible)
