Mrs Agnes M Shank, 81, Wakarusa, died July 28 in her home at the Golden Apartments. She had been ill a week of complications and a heart condition.
She was born Aug 1, 1883, in Elkhart county, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Isaac Christophel.
She married John M Shank on Aug. 4, 1904. They lived on a farm until his death in 1955, after which Mrs Shank moved to Wakarusa.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs Harold (Gladys) Ganger, and Mrs Paul (Lucille) Messner, both of Elkhart, Mrs Merle (Florence) Schwalm and Mrs Calvin (Irma) Mishler, both of Goshen, and Mrs Merle (Margorie) Stephens of Niles, Mich; and five sons, Alvin of South Bend, Ray of Benton Harbor, Mich, Kenneth and Kermit, both of Elkhart, and Donald of Baltimore, Md.
