After Emmett McLendon passed away, Iris Jewell (Lewis)Blalock Walker McLendon moved to Panama City ,Bay County, FL to be near her sister-in-law and good friend, Velma Beatrice (Copeland) Lewis (July 02, 1907 AL - Aug. 26, 1990 FL), the widow of Everett Hancel Lewis (July 26, 1902 AL - Oct. 18, 1969 FL. Iris Jewell (Lewis) Blalock Walker McLendon bought a trailer and had it placed next to Velma Beatrice (Copeland) Lewis's home. Iris Jewell (Lewis) McLendon passed away at her home on April 18, 1986.
